I can apply art techniques and organizational principles to solve specific visual arts problems.
I chose to do a horse, because my older sister likes horses. I came up with this design and made it from pencils. I plan to give it to her soon. I really liked how the design was wavy and curvy. It made for an interesting look.
The face of the horse still bothers me. It didn't turn out to be what I expected. I wanted a stronger, more realistic head. Otherwise, there were times that I had to correct the lighting and make parts darker or lighter. I also had to decided what to do for the eye. I went beyond the pencils and made the eye a whole block eraser.
This came out to be very close to what my original idea was. I sketched my idea on the paper about four times until it fit. It was too big a lot of the time. I kept redrawing it until the size was right and the shape was correct. In the end I am happy with this and very glad that I made.
